Airmen of all sorts keep basic survival supplies on them in case things come crashing down. Many depend on the 'Air Warrior' system, a lightweight MOLLE survival vest. This is the "First aid platform" made to attach to the vest in a specialized pocket, but unintentionally it seems like they also made a fantastic IFAK organizer.
One of the most crucial parts about an IFAK is how it's organized — if you know where the right supplies are, those precious seconds could literally mean life and death. If a sheet of standard office paper (8.5 x 11") fits in your every day carry pack, you can use the first aid platform as a quick and organized way to carry an IFAK on your person without any obviously-tactical looks.
Please note this platform does not come with any IFAK components. You will need to purchase those on your own. We highly recommend North American Rescue's standard IFAK kit.
Easily carrying the contents of a standard IFAK with convenient elastic retention, the result is a slim package that'll slide right into a hydration carrier partition or interior pocket of your pack. A rear mesh compartment is the perfect size for chest seals, shears & other medications, and two smaller loops on the front secure smaller items like gloves or small duct tape rolls.
For airmen, it features tiedown strings to keep everything from flying out, but are entirely optional as the elastic retention keeps things in place well enough on it's own. It's a fantastic way to keep crucial supplies organized either way, and will be right at home in packs of nearly any size.
